Banking Transformation Summit takes place on 19 to 20 May 2026 at Tobacco Dock, London.
The event runs across two full days. Doors open from 8.00am on both days, with the programme running through to early evening. After Hours Drinks and a Panel takes place on the evening of Day One.
We would strongly recommend it. Day One and Day Two are designed with distinct purposes. Day One builds your vision through keynotes, panels and live podcasts. Day Two turns that insight into action. Most attendees find the two days work best together.
The programme includes keynote presentations, interactive panel discussions, and practical case study sessions. Sessions are organised across six themes (AI, infrastructure, payments, trust, customer experience, and leadership) so you can navigate directly to what matters most to your role.
Over 1,000 senior leaders attend across the two days, representing more than 170 banks and building societies. Attendance is deliberately capped to maintain the quality of the experience.
Bank and building society places are complimentary, allocated by application, and going fast.
Networking is built into the structure of the event, not bolted on. Expect well-timed breaks, hosted meetups, and access to the event app to help you identify and connect with the right people before, during and after the summit. With 75% of attendees from banks and building societies, the conversations you will have are with peers who understand your challenges.
Access to the attendee list and meeting functionality is restricted to event exhibitors, speakers, and bank attendees.
After Hours Drinks and a Panel takes place on the evening of Day One, bringing speakers, sponsors and delegates together in a relaxed setting. It is where many of the day's conversations continue, and where some of the most valuable connections are made. Following that, One for the Road is a riverside walk with stops at local spots on the way home.
Complimentary hospitality runs throughout both days, including a buffet lunch, barista coffee, and refreshments. Evening receptions are included for all attendees.
Tobacco Dock is located in Wapping, East London. It is a short walk from Wapping Overground station, and accessible via the DLR, Elizabeth line and several bus routes. Full travel information is available on the travel guidance page.

Yes. Tap the heart icon on any session to save it to "My Schedule". A handful of sessions, including the opening remarks and the pre-event mixer, are added to everyone's schedule by default.
Yes. A small number of sessions, including the curated boardrooms and dinner, require you to add them to your schedule in advance. These appear under "Sessions to pre-book" on the app home screen. Some are invitation-only and will only be visible to those on the relevant target list.
When you log in for the first time, the app asks a short series of profiling questions covering your role, the solutions you are looking for, and who you are hoping to meet. Those answers feed into Grip's AI recommendation engine, which suggests the people most relevant to you across the two days. The more detail you give in your profile, the better the matches.
Yes. Speakers, sponsors and bank or building society attendees can browse the attendee list and request meetings directly through the app. Meetings can be booked at the dedicated 1-to-1 meeting zone (ten tables) or, where applicable, at sponsor stands. The booking window runs 9.00am to 6.00pm on Day One and 9.00am to 3.00pm on Day Two. Delegate ticket holders can receive meeting requests but cannot send them.
By default, only people you have actively connected with can see your contact details. You can change this in your profile settings: public makes them visible to all attendees, private hides them entirely. You can update this at any time before or during the event.
If you allow push notifications, yes. We use them sparingly to flag the sessions, networking moments and changes you would not want to miss. We recommend turning them on once you have downloaded the app.
